That's why I will close registrations once we have reached a reasonable amount of users. This instance is up and running since the 1st April 2017. Update policy For your information, this instance is using its own fork of Mastodon available on Github : Wonderfall/mastodon-targaryen. Don't panic, it's still Mastodon, but as you can see it's... tweaked, so the look can be a real immersion into the Targaryen house. There are other tweaks, like the responsive columns (at the moment, it's not in Mastodon). I'm also fetching the master branch from the official Mastodon repository. It means we benefit from the latest features, but at the risk of rollbacks (hence a little downtime, though I do my best if something goes wrong). Don't say I didn't warn you. What rules? First, keep in mind the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (1789). Since the server is hosted in Germany, you must also respect the Law of Germany. Any (commented) report is reviewed and the content can be moderated, but every user is encouraged to use the block and mute functions.Be respectful, be human. Honour the House Targaryen. Some explicit rules to keep the instance pleasant : Use NSFW for pornography content. Use CW for (harming) spoilers. Excessive harassment is not tolerated. Spam on public timelines must be avoided. Freedom of speech is a human right. These rules won't restrict in any way your way of thinking. In fact, you can post everything which injures no one else (article 4 - DRMC 1789). Moderation will even tolerate such things as posts about drugs and hacking (in every sense). Since it would be ironic to have a severe censorship policy, we won't block entire instances (except in specific cases). Perhaps some can be silenced, and if that happens, the silence list on Github will be updated (here). Note that accounts won't be silenced or suspended unless there's a very good reason, or if there's too much recidivism. Bot accounts can be silenced if there are too much complains about them. It has the following specs : CPU : Intel Xeon E3-1271v3 RAM : 32GB (4*4) DDR3 ECC HDD : 2*4TB (RAID) OS : Debian 9 Stretch - Linux 4.10 Bandwidth : 1 Gbit/sEncrypted backups of Mastodon are made daily. This dedicated server is hosting other services but they shouldn't interfere. On top of that, I tuned Mastodon so it can be incredibly fast.
